[ He'd taken to skimming through the contacts list occasionally, just looking for names he recognized. Never bad to keep an eye out on that, right? It was with a little pang of guilt that he realized he hadn't reached out to Claudia in a hell of a long time. ]

[ Claudia answers sounding in higher spirits, though there's a strange roaring in the background of her reply. The break in combat and being spared from the last traumatic event has done her good -- if they switch to video he'll see that she's done her hair again and the smile in her voice matches the one on her face. ]

Hey, double n. I've still got all my appendages and memories, how 'bout you?

[ He'll probably switch to video when he's sure that bounce in her tone is authentic. Gunn just laughs a little, relieved regardless. ]

I'm in alright condition. Living, right? That matters.

[ There's a fresh purple streak in her hair and she's waggling a wrench at him, then lifts her bracelet hand and gestures at the mess of metal in front on a bench of her. ] Working. Duh.

Sometimes I just make up words entirely, it keeps life interesting. You never know what'll catch on.
